Personal OS

What’s new

Recent changes to Personal OS.

October 17, 2026

  • Find photos on your own computer by what is in them: the desktop connector describes them with a vision model running on that computer, and only the descriptions are saved. Receipts, whiteboards and notes can become cards.
  • On the phone app, pick photos and the phone reads their text and labels what they show, without uploading them.
  • Google Photos reviews can run on your own computer instead of a cloud model.

October 15, 2026

  • Google Photos review works on the shared key, and albums now receive full-resolution copies instead of small previews. Albums of more than 50 photos are created in full, and a failed copy no longer leaves an empty album.

September 26–27, 2026

  • Every topic has its own page: what is open, what you did lately, what you planned, what you asked, and the links you saved.
  • Ask for a short document or brief about a topic, from its page or in chat. Every point links back to the card, page or question it came from, and chat shows when it is ready.
  • Every topic is reachable from the sidebar, including older and dormant ones.
  • A new Artifacts section collects every document and brief you have built, with search and filters.
  • The browser extension no longer saves the same page twice when a save is retried.
  • Ask Personal OS what it can do, where to find something, or what is new; it answers from the same notes as this page.

September 21, 2026

  • Public home page, Privacy Policy, Terms and account-deletion instructions.
  • Invite-only beta: new accounts join a waitlist unless they have an invite code.
  • Export all your data as JSON, or delete your account, from Settings.

September 19–21, 2026

  • Connect Claude Code or Codex on your computer (Windows, Linux and WSL) and coordinate them from chat.
  • Reminders, briefings and replies no longer assume a single time zone.

September 17, 2026

  • Memory notes now show the captures they’re based on, and you can accept or reject them.
  • Nudges are ranked by evidence, and snoozing one is remembered.

August 2026

  • Linear integration.

July 2026

  • Telegram: link your own chat and capture or ask from there.
  • Routines that run on a schedule, and procedures the assistant learns from repeated tasks.
  • Security hardening ahead of opening to testers.
